A Dog Friendly Pub That Welcomes Every Member of the Family, Even the Furry Ones

There’s nothing quite like a relaxed afternoon at your local pub. Cold drink in hand, great conversation all around, and your loyal dog stretched out at your feet. For many of us, dogs aren’t just pets. They’re part of the family. That’s why at Mash Brewery in Henley Brook we’ve built a space where everyone feels welcome, tails included. We are a dog friendly pub.

Whether you’ve just finished a weekend walk or are meeting friends for a laid-back lunch, Mash offers everything you’d expect from a top-quality venue: delicious food, locally brewed beer, warm service and a genuine love for dogs. We’re proud to be known as a dog friendly pub, not just in name, but in practice.

From our sunny beer garden to the thoughtful touches we offer every canine guest, we’ve created an environment where people and pups can relax together in comfort. So if you’re the type who never leaves the house without your four-legged mate, you’ll fit right in.

Why Dog Owners Keep Coming Back

Get to Know Us

At Mash, we know that being “dog friendly” isn’t just about ticking a box. It’s about making sure both you and your pup enjoy the experience from the moment you arrive. We’ve put real care into creating a setting where dogs aren’t just tolerated. They’re genuinely appreciated.

Visiting With Your Dog? Here’s What to Know

Bringing your dog to the pub can be a great experience for both of you, especially if you plan ahead a little. Here are some tips to help you (and your pup) make the most of your visit.

Bring the Essentials

We provide the basics like water and treats, but it’s always a good idea to bring your own leash, waste bags, and perhaps a blanket or toy to help your dog settle.

Watch the Weather

On hot days, try to visit early or late in the day when the sun isn’t too strong. We’ve got shaded spots and water on hand, but some dogs can be sensitive to heat.

Know Your Dog’s Comfort Zone

If your dog is still getting used to social situations or busy spaces, try visiting us during quieter times. Mid-afternoons on weekdays are usually relaxed and peaceful.

Be Respectful of Others

Not every visitor is a dog owner, so we appreciate it when pups stay calm, quiet, and close to their humans. If your dog needs a break or space to calm down, just let us know, we’ll happily help you find a quiet corner.

Keep Them on Lead

For everyone’s comfort and safety, we ask that dogs remain on lead while at the venue. It helps keep things calm and enjoyable for all our guests,  including other dogs.

More Than a Pub, A Place Where Dogs and People Belong

Mash Brewery has been part of the local scene for over 20 years. What started as a small Swan Valley brewery has grown into a lively, welcoming space for the entire community. We take pride in the beer we brew, the food we serve, and the atmosphere we’ve built. One that’s warm, relaxed, and built on connection.
Our beer garden has seen it all: milestone birthdays, lazy weekend sessions, spontaneous celebrations, and plenty of friendly dogs curled up under tables. It’s the kind of place where you arrive as a guest and leave as part of the family.
And if you’re a dog lover, you’ll find more than just a pub. You’ll find a place where your pup is treated with kindness, where your afternoon plans don’t require finding a pet sitter, and where the simple joy of being together, human and dog, is part of what makes the experience so memorable.
Come Sit, Stay and Sip
Bring your dog, grab a table, and make yourself at home.
At Mash Brewery, everyone’s welcome, especially the ones with wagging tails.
